China Open 2009

Wilson Baiardo was hard at work in Beijing at the National Tennis Center for the 2009 China Open. The event, featuring both the top WTA and ATP Tour players in the world, was held October 2nd - October 11th, 2009. The Wilson/Luxilon stringing team strung over 673 racquets during the event! The biggest day saw the team string 118 racquets for the competitors using Baiardo. With both tours being represented, the team of Goran Hofsteter, Jarrad Magee, Pin Lay, and others were extremely busy. During play, Rafael Nadal led the field with the most string jobs at 26. A high tension of 70lbs was strung for WTA Tour player Sorana Cirstea using Luxilon ALU Power. On the flip side, ATP player Frank Dancevic strung a tournament low tension of 39lbs.
