Wilson Baiardo and the Luxilon Stringing Team are in Acapulco, Mexico, this week stringing for the Abierto Mexicano Telcel. The clay court event draws top players from the around world for this ATP World Tour 500 event. The Luxilon Stringing Team expects to string nearly 300 racquets this week on the Wilson Baiardo. The team is lead by Luis who is a long time member of the Wilson and Luxilon Stringing Team's. Nicolas Alamagro is the two-time defending champion and enters this weeks event as the #6 seed.
A total of 395 racquets were strung during the one week event...Wilson Baiardo and the Luxilon Stringing team were extremely busy during this clay court event! Luxilon strings were strung in 85% of the racquets brought to the stringing room...that's a whopping 335 racquets! Next on the list was Wilson strings which were in 5% of the frames. Combined, Wilson and Luxilon strings were in 355 of the racquets strung by the Luxilon stringing team.
